The Chef - Ryan Brand
Ryan Brand has been a passionate foodie from a young age. Inspired by local and international culinary heroes, he started a 3 year in-service course at the International Hotel School in Cape Town. After gaining experience at various establishments- Arabella Kleinmond, Granny Mouse Country House, The Banting Kitchen and working & travelling in the USA, Ryan was selected as Head Chef of Kohu. There is no better feeling then seeing that ‘nod of the head’ by the customer as they take the first bite. Being versatile with ingredients and produce will always make for an exciting dining experience.
At Kohu we use fresh produce, free range beef, chicken & eggs, to create tasty & nutritious food with focus on sustainability and local produce.
